What We Do

John Ronan, a chartered accountant by profession, has been involved in the real estate business for over 35 years. His principal interests and expertise lie in developing prime buildings with a view to creating long-term investments.


Having designed and built some of Dublin’s most prestigious buildings, John has gained a deserved reputation for delivering buildings of the highest standards in design, specification and energy efficiency.

A wealth of experience constantly demonstrates the vision to source prime development land, from brown field urban regeneration to green field conceptual development across all of the main use categories. 

Real estate development involves a number of complex stages, from initial acquisition through planning, designing, public and stakeholder consultation, building and finally marketing. At each stage we undertake risk assessments to ensure all views and concerns are taken into account.    

Through a passionate pursuit of functional, purpose built spaces, uncompromising design standards and energy efficiency we have gained a reputation for placemaking and constructing Ireland's highest specification buildings that create significant long-term value. 

With an interactive philosophy to optimise spaces, we encourage collaborative work with pre-let end users through the design and build period, which has continually delivered a final product to seamlessly reflect the corporate identity of a number of domestic and international blue chip tenants.

Today, Ronan Group is uniquely positioned to create scalable value for its investment partners. Limited availability of debt and equity capital has led to substantially less capable competition to develop much needed commercial and residential property. 

We acquire and create high quality assets in prime locations. Traditionally our business model is to retain and internally manage the commercial assets we develop. Yet shorter hold periods and defined exit strategies have been adopted and delivered when required to ensure aligned interests with partners.      

As economic fundamentals have begun to stabilise and improve, the supply of new development remains near record lows. Our intimate market knowledge, relationships with owners, lenders and intermediaries provide a unique ability to deliver development scale with quality and speed.
